TEACH US TO PRAY ~ ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN ~ 3/4 ~ JENNIFER MCPHERSON

          Pray like this:

Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in Heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don't let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

          (Mathew 6:9-15 NLT)

          • Effective prayer is not based on our authority, but on the authority of God's Word! We need to know the Word well enough to pray Word-based prayers. Prayer is not so much about getting what we want but aligning ourselves with what God wants.

            Stovall Weems

            • 1. We need to make room.
            • a. We must align our priorities with His priorities.
            • b. We must forgive as we have been forgiven.

"There are no exceptions but forgiveness."

        • When want and need merge into a moment, God steps in with the gift we can't find or manufacture." Mike Clarensaw

        Stop talking about it.

        Pray for them

"Our feelings will follow what we focus on."

        11. Stepping out.

        a. We must accept the promise of the Holy Spirit.

        b. We must walk in obedience.

"Now isn't that what a relationship with God should be like? Can God walk beside me every day without breaking a few doorframes? Do I really think He intends to live so small in my life that every step will be "me-sized'? Isn't the point of life with God that I can live at a higher level and conquer challenges that are more "God-sized'?
